...belatedly, though, but it was nice that Paradox won the Independent Publishers Award for best SF book of 2005, at BookExpo America in Washington, D.C.
I grew up reading the mind-expanding science fiction of Heinlein and Norton, then Simak and Clarke and Herbert and Zelazny... SF fans can complete the list by guesswork, knowing all the great writers. What else could I do, but write books of my own?
My latest book is Bone Song, and according to the Times: "Meaney’s creepy, death-haunted world lingers in the mind long after the book is closed. A smart and spooky read." More Tristopolis books to follow.
I’ve written four books in the ‘Pilots’ universe. Awards: number one Daily Telegraph Books of the Year, Independent Publishers Books of the Year, and 3-times nominee for the BSFA award.
I'm a working-class boy with a background in physics, computer science, languages, martial arts and NLP. Coffee, dark chocolate, purring cats, good friends and good books enrich my life, along with my wife Yvonne.
I believe the universe is magical, in the sense of being wondrous, vast and magnificent. Science reveals the wonder. Questing, questioning minds explore the world.
Read, have fun, explore, enjoy!
